Important Notice from LifeGift: Dear Community, We want to bring to your attention a serious matter affecting individuals who may be seeking employment opportunities. It has come to our notice that a fraudulent individual is impersonating representatives of our HR department and sending deceptive emails via LinkedIn. These emails falsely claim that recipients have been hired for an "Audio Transcriptionist Remote Role" at LifeGift, a position we have never offered. We urge everyone to be vigilant and cautious. If you receive any communication claiming to be from LifeGift regarding job offers or request personal information, please verify its authenticity by contacting us directly through our official channels. To protect yourself from identity theft, never share personal information, such as social security numbers or banking details, with anyone who cannot be verified as a legitimate representative of LifeGift. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We appreciate your help in spreading the word to safeguard our community.

Today, we remember and celebrate the incredible life of Ted Adderly, a long-time Houston Ambassador of Hope volunteer and heart transplant recipient. After his transplant in 2017, Ted became an impassioned advocate for organ, eye and tissue donation. He represented LifeGift and the transplant community with pure joy and dedication, deeply inspiring those around him. Ted combined his love of family and storytelling to preserve and share the narrative of his journey through transplantation and motivate others to become registered donors. He often told the story of when he was placed on the organ waiting list, his daughter was planning her wedding. Organ donation gifted Ted with the opportunity to not only walk out of the hospital following surgery but to walk his daughter down the aisle. Survivors include his son, Theo C. Adderly, Jr. of Pearland, TX, daughter, Teddi Adderly Haynes (Darren) of Reseda, CA, brother, T. C. Adderly, Jr. of Miami, FL and three grandchildren. Ted's celebration of life was held in September at Brentwood Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Ted's passion and commitment touched countless lives, and his legacy will live on through the many people he helped along the way. Though he is no longer with us, his impact will be felt for years to come. We are deeply grateful for Ted's service, heart and dedication. He will forever remain part of our LifeGift family. We send our love and sincere condolences to Ted’s family and friends. #DonateLife #OfferHope #WeRemember #GiveHope

This October, we celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of the Filipino community during #FilipinoAmericanHeritageMonth. The Filipino community’s values of compassion, generosity and bayanihan (the spirit of communal unity) shine through in the gift of organ, eye and tissue donation. The National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) estimates that about 120 Filipinos per million population develop chronic kidney failure each year, which is about one Filipino every hour. Texas is home to more than 234,000 Filipino Americans, making it the third largest population of Filipino Americans in the United States. Make a difference. Share the facts. Say "YES" to organ, eye, and tissue donation TODAY at https://lnkd.in/e4sBYU8J. #FilipinoHeritageMonth #FilAmHistoryMonth #DonateLife #OfferHope #GiftOfLife #Bayanihan #GiveHope

This #HealthyLungMonth, we hope you're moved by this inspiring story: "A Sister's Last Gift" highlights a donor hero, her family and one of her lung recipients. "My sister, Amy Henderson Firth, passed away suddenly on November 26, 2012, from blood clots in her brain. Amy was a giving person, and it is only fitting that her gifts continue after her passing," said Valerie F. "Our family was proud to honor her wish to be an organ donor. She gave six people a second chance through the donation of her heart, lungs, kidneys, liver and pancreas. After receiving the letter detailing the age and gender of Amy’s organ recipients, as an avid runner, I was most interested in meeting her lung recipient, a 26-year-old woman. I dreamed of running again one day with my sister, through the lung recipient and her new lungs. Amy’s amazing lung recipient, Carrie, and our families have formed a unique and loving bond. Like me, Carrie lost her only sibling. Bryan, who was on the lung transplant waiting list for eight months, lost his battle with cystic fibrosis seven months before Carrie received Amy’s healthy lungs. Carrie and I are sisters in grief, united in the determination to make something positive out of the tragedies we have endured. Carrie and I live 15 minutes away from each other and talk or text almost daily, meeting for lunch and shopping, just like sisters. Amy’s last gift to me was something precious - Carrie. Carrie and I want to share our story to promote donation and also as a loving tribute to our siblings." Thank you to our partners at Donate Life Texas for sharing this story. You can leave a legacy like Carrie by saying 'YES" to organ, eye and tissue donation today at https://lnkd.in/e4sBYU8J. #DonateLife #GiveHope #Healthy #Lungs #HealthyLungMonth #OfferHope
