I help tradesmen unlock exponential business growth with SEO

📣 Tradesmen 📣 Before you spend your ad budget, read this 👇 Think about the home services niche. I’m talking, your: 🔧 Plumbers 🔧 Roofers 🔧 Electricians 🔧 Handymen etc. People need these services. There is good search volume behind local queries like: ”Plumbers near me” Do you know what results people don’t click on? Ads!! I have a leaking pipe and I need a trustworthy plumber in my area. I’m looking for organic results with over 250 reviews. I don’t even consider the ads. And yet, many tradesmen spend their entire marketing budget on ads. Ads stop getting you results when you stop paying. Organic SEO gets you compounding results. Trying to grow your business relying on ads is insane.

Follow to track our growth 📈 We had great success with this strategy the first time. Excited to find out if we can replicate it again 😁 If you're in home services and you're not doing SEO... Send me a DM about a free discovery call with our SEO. It'll cost you nothing but 30 minutes of your time. And who knows, it could earn you £12M 🤷🏻♂️

Director at Boiler Central & Eco Happy

How we’re replicating the strategy that got us to £12M I got this advice when we started Boiler Central: Local SEO will be the most consistent lead gen channel. So we invested around £3000 p/m in SEO for 6 months. Then decreased to a maintenance budget of about £1500 p/m for 1,5 years. The growth was slow in the first 3-6 months. We got leads in but not at the volume we were hoping for. After 6 months, things started to pick up. We had a very successful first year and were able to partner with Crisis to give back in 2021. To me, being able to pay it forward is the biggest measure of success. Fast forward to 2022 and we had scaled to £12M. We’ve consistently held onto our market share since then. So this year, I decided to start Eco Happy. I’ve invested with the same SEO we used for Boiler Central. On average we are generating around 8 leads per week (32 leads per month). We’re using a local strategy and 92% of our traffic is coming from the UK. These are QUALITY leads. I’m looking forward to sharing our growth over 1 year. Hoping we can celebrate with an even bigger charity partnership at the end of year one. It’s daunting investing in a longterm strategy but it keeps paying off. Are you investing in SEO?

I’ll die on this hill ⛰ If you’re a tradesman in home services: SEO > PPC Organic = → More trust → Decreasing CPC → Compounding results BUT, slower results 🐢 Paid = → Less trust → Increasing CPC → Pay per result (1:1) BUT, faster results ⚡️ If you’ve ever run a trade business… You know that you need to grow gradually. A team of 5 technicians can’t go from 10 jobs to 50 jobs overnight. SEO is the most sustainable marketing channel for tradesmen. If you haven’t invested in SEO, tell me why in the comments 👇

📣Tradesmen 📣  Use this hack for content outlines: I talk about content led SEO all the time. But most tradesmen I know have no idea what content to write. You’ve covered the basic pages on your site: → Home → About → Services Now I’m telling you, your website needs a blog. And that you need to consistently write and upload new content. If you’ve never written an article (much less an article to improve SEO)… You probably have no idea where to start. Here are some easy tips to help you with your first article:   1️⃣ Think of a “how to” related to your trade. Eg: Plumbers → ”how to fix a leak”   2️⃣ Search that phrase in Google.   3️⃣ Scroll down to the ‘People also search for’ section.   4️⃣ Copy down the related queries.   5️⃣ Now go to ChatGPT and type the following command: "I’m writing an article to improve my website SEO. My article is a guide for [your how to query] and should also cover [X], [Y], [Z], [etc from the ‘People also search for’ results]. Give me an article outline that includes the article title, h2’s and an FAQ section." There’s your outline for your first article. Make sure you write it from your experience in the trade. ❌ DON’T ask ChatGPT to write it for you! You can feed your draft into ChatGPT and ask it to identify content gaps. 💡 Bonus tip: List yourself as the author and add an author bio with links to your socials.   ✅ Boosts trust ✅ Boosts rankings

Tradesman 📣   If you want targeted leads - DON’T do this 👇 Spending your marketing budget on Yelp ads is a HUGE gamble. Here’s why: 1. Leads aren’t as targeted Compared to Google, Yelp leads are far less targeted. I’ve heard of tradesman getting calls about services they don’t even offer. 2. Leads are more difficult to convert Conversion rates for Yelp ads are generally low. People use Yelp for a specific purpose - to find reviews and locations. It’s not an ideal time in the user journey to be shown an ad. 3. ROI isn’t great Yelp’s CPC is unpredictable and often higher than Facebook and Google. On top of this, very few clicks convert. The resulting cost per converted lead is crippling for a small business. >> The bottom line for tradesman: Yelp ads are a great place to waste your marketing budget. If you’re interested in investing your budget for a compounding return… SEO is the way.

Here are 3 truths and 1 lie about SEO: 1. Helpful content + Intent = Rankings 📈 → Provide value and match intent to rank (every time) → Understand your customer persona and their pain points → Produce genuinely helpful content and… you WILL win! 2. SEOs + AI = Better SEOs 🤖 → DON’T use AI to spin content → DO use AI to work faster and smarter → AI can sort data and provide insights faster → You need a good SEO interpret and adapt to the data 3. Content-led SEO = Compound growth → Your CPC decreases the longer you do organic SEO → If your site is built to convert, more traffic = more revenue → The growth potential with content-led SEO is unmatched 4. SEO is dying → Every time you search online there is SEO involved → Searched for a YouTube video? SEO → Searched for a trending topic on TikTok? SEO → As long as humans are online, SEO will be around This I know for sure, if you’re holding off on SEO you’re holding off on growth. P.S. You’ll get to play more golf if you follow my advice 🏌️♂️

Home services businesses need to get with the times… Most industries have gone digital first. Why are home service businesses lagging behind? I see so many electricians, plumbers, roofers etc that follow the same process. 1. Get a call in 2. Send technician over 3. Take ages to get a quote sent Most tradesmen are stuck in the past. You could eliminate site visits from your quotation process. Imagine the competitive edge you’d gain! Don’t believe it’s possible? Nick Huber’s cost segregation business has employees in South America that assess your property by having you walk around with an iPad 🤳 Here’s how: → Find a way to productise your services → List ‘starting from’ prices on your website → Add photo and video uploads for online quotes → Implement next day ‘TBC’ quotes without a site visit Shorten the lead time between call and quote ⏰
