About us
Living Lands & Waters is a 501 (c)(3) environmental organization that was established by Chad Pregracke in 1998. Last week, we teamed up with some fine folks from ADM ARTco for TWO cleanups, ridding the Illinois River of a staggering 5,264 pounds of garbage. Amongst our haul were 25 bags of assorted trash, 36 tires (enough to outfit a small fleet), 22 sq ft of Styrofoam (because who doesn’t love that stuff?), and 5.5 navigational buoys. A big thanks to everyone for their hard work and dedication! #livinglandsandwaters #rivercleanup #keepitclean #maritime

We Are LLW. Throughout the year, we’ll be reintroducing you to the faces of LL&W, from crew to volunteers and those we call on when we need a hand! Meet Carson - LL&W Crew Member! Carson Lund-Fuller joined the LL&W crew in June 2022 after graduating from United Township High School in East Moline, Illinois. Carson, or 'Baby Boy' as he's affectionately known, is a five-time Illinois state champion BMX biker. His love for sports is only surpassed by his love for Cheez-Its, which he dreams of representing one day. When he's not enjoying his favorite snack, he's usually engaging in friendly trash-talk with his unwanted mentor Derek, also known as “Hoppy,” “Hop,” or "Night Shift". He's a sports enthusiast, a food lover, a weightlifter, and did we mention, a food lover? The crew admires Carson’s willingness to attack any task at hand, and his top-notch garbage-grabbing skills. You can personally support Carson’s cleanup efforts by sending boxes of Cheez-Its to the LL&W HQ! 😜 #livinglandsandwaters
