  • It's International Day of the Girl! 👧 As you've likely already heard, the water crisis disproportionally impacts girls by keeping them out of school to collect water, increasing their risk of waterborne diseases and violence, limiting access to safe sanitation during menstruation, and perpetuating cycles of poverty. We're working tirelessly to ensure everyone—and we mean everyone—has access to safe water they can trust. You, our Living Water community, help transform the lives of girls across 17 countries. We are endlessly grateful!

  • Introducing Mabinty! She's a 10-year-old girl at Kulafai Rashideen Primary School in Sierra Leone. She and her classmates didn't have access to safe water or functioning toilets while at school. Instead, they relieved themselves in a nearby forest and walked miles to neighboring communities to gather water for themselves and their families. Mabinty spent more time gathering water than she did at school, forcing her to repeat an entire school year. Now, Kulafai Rashideen Primary School has plenty of safe water and a brand-new block of latrines! With access to these resources, Mabinty no longer has to worry about where she'll find water or use the restroom. Now, she can focus on her schoolwork and work towards her dreams and ambitions—all because of safe water.

  • Efraín Bertoty, the pastor of the Choluteca Correctional Center in Honduras, was distressed by the situation his people faced due to water scarcity. He said, “We only had a single water source, a drilled well that supplied the entire prison. Some time ago, it was contaminated due to the construction of a septic tank near the well. We endured a lot when the well was contaminated because that was the water we used for cooking, washing clothes, and bathing.” With the addition of a safe water source, Efraín can focus on his ministry of sharing God’s love with inmates rather than worrying about whether or not they will have water to drink.

  • Because of your generosity, the students at Mtizwa School now have access to safe water! 💧 Your donation is more than just a gift—it’s a reflection of God’s love at work. As we celebrate this transformation, we invite you to reflect on how you’re serving His kingdom by empowering children to thrive. Thank you for being an agent of change with us.

  • A swamp filled with contaminated water and a foul odor served as the primary water source for Ernest Kaitor and his Gbangbatoke Junction II, Sierra Leone community. He said, “The water is very bad, poor quality, and smells swampy. We frequently get sick with diarrhea, vomiting, and scabies. We have been suffering for so long with the contaminated water we drink. Some of us don’t have clear skin simply because of the contaminated water we bathe with.” The new safe water source is transformational for Ernest and his community. He said, “We will be free from sickness like cholera, vomiting, and scabies infection. We praise God and Living Water International for giving us this precious and wonderful gift and saving our lives.”
