Today, we are excited to unveil our refreshed brand identity and website in celebration of 80 years in business. The rebranding initiative is a cornerstone of Lochner’s strategic vision, underscoring our dedication to serving clients and communities nationwide. The updated logo formulates an “L” as a nod to Lochner’s long-standing history. The forward motion of our logo signifies our commitment to embrace the future as a source of new possibilities. The tandem forms of our logomark represent the interconnection of our people and clients, working in partnership to move our communities forward. The markets and communities we serve never stop, and our new logo symbolizes our ability to lead with strength and clarity. “For eight decades, the Lochner brand was built on being client-focused, performance-driven, and community-minded,” said Terry A. Ruhl, P.E., F. ASCE, DrBA, Lochner Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “The refreshed identity reflects our evolution, values, and aspirations, representing who we are, where we've come from, and where we're headed as an organization. It's about reaffirming our dedication to delivering exceptional services, fostering meaningful connections, and making a positive impact.” Learn more about our new look and enhanced website: https://bit.ly/3TFlnHY #LochnerLeads #Infrastructure #Rebranding

During our Wildlife-Vehicle Collision Reduction study for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), we encountered some unexpected spooky visitors! While exploring culverts under I-64 as potential under-road deer crossings, our team discovered federally endangered gray bats roosting in these shadowy structures—just in time for Halloween! Lochner is leading this study to help reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and create safer paths for both animals and drivers. Since discovering our batty friends, we’ve teamed up with the KYTC Division of Environmental Analysis to monitor these habitats and learn how these mysterious nocturnal creatures use existing infrastructure. By studying their roosting patterns, we’re helping KYTC design and manage structures that support Kentucky’s wildlife—making travel safer for everyone. No tricks, just treats! #HappyHalloween #WildlifeCrossings #EndangeredSpecies #GrayBats #LochnerLeads

Lochner’s Midwest CEI office recently came together to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Aurora, Illinois, joining the fight against hunger. In one afternoon, our team packed 32 boxes of food, totaling over 6,000 meals, enough to feed 19 children every day for an entire year. As a nonprofit, FMSC believes hope begins with food. They partner with long-term distribution networks to help communities transition from relief to development. FMSC meals, designed by food and nutrition experts, address nutritional needs to reduce problems with malnutrition. At Lochner, we’re committed to doing what’s right—it’s a part of who we are. We are proud to announce that our Texas CEI team has received the 2024 Texas Department of Transportation/Texas Asphalt Pavement Association Quality Asphalt Pavement Award in the Dense-Graded Mixes Overlay Category for their work on the IH 14 project in Coryell County for the TxDOT Waco District. Despite significant pavement repairs being anticipated, a thorough inspection determined that only a fraction of the repairs were necessary, resulting in substantial cost savings for the client, all while delivering an award-winning project. This is the first time a TxAPA award has been presented to a Consultant CEI, and we are honored to be the first. Congratulations to our team on this remarkable achievement! #LochnerLeads #ProjectAward #CEI https://bit.ly/4gY8uDE

Lochner’s Kentucky team recently partnered with Lexington Parks and Recreation to paint the Kentucky Traditional Post & Rail fencing around a 210-year-old cemetery located within Wellington Dog Park. This historic site, with graves dating back to the early 1800s, is a centerpiece of the seven-acre park. Lexington Parks and Recreation relies on volunteers to help maintain its public spaces, and our team was proud to contribute through this meaningful project. #LochnerCares #CommunityImpact https://bit.ly/3zzPuKD
