At STV, equity in public infrastructure isn’t just talk—it’s about action. As one of the first firms to sign the Equity in Infrastructure Project (EIP) pledge back in 2022, we’re sharing a few steps to help you make progress on your equity goals: 1️⃣ Know where you stand. 2️⃣ Define where you want to go. 3️⃣ Track progress and be accountable through transparency. 4️⃣ Learn from others. We recently attended the groundbreaking for a pivotal 8-mile reconstruction of I-35 in Texas Department of Transportation’s Wichita Falls District. Almost 90% of Texans live along and east of I-35, with over 50,000 vehicles traveling the road daily, making this project highly impactful. A rare interstate reconstruction that crosses state lines, the groundbreaking brought together state representatives from Districts 30 and 68 in Texas, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the Chickasaw Nation and local stakeholders. 🤝
