We’re starting the year off strong! 💪 The LIRR is hitting record levels of on-time performance (OTP) thus far, with a year-to-date OTP of nearly 97 percent. In February, we achieved our highest ever monthly OTP at 96.4%! We’re proud of these milestones and we will remain focused on delivering reliable service and a great customer experience.

We’re adding more service on the Oyster Bay Branch! Starting on March 17, we will have a new eastbound and westbound train on weeknights, making it easier to come home from a night in the city or an afternoon on the North Shore. View schedules and plan your trip in the TrainTime app.

We can do it! 💪 During World War II, labor shortages led the LIRR to recruit women for vital roles in keeping the railroad running. Their hard work and dedication kept our operations moving during a critical time. Today, women continue to play a major role at the LIRR, contributing across all areas of our workforce. #ThrowbackThursday #WomensHistoryMonth
