“We’re taking a responsible approach to surgically reduce standardized testing time without affecting accuracy." Dr. Brumley announced a significant reduction in student testing time. These immediate revisions will reduce the time students spend taking state assessments by 20%. The changes to grade 3-8 ELA and math LEAP assessments will eliminate redundancies and streamline the writing portion of the annual tests. They were made in consultation with testing experts to maintain the integrity of these vital assessments and mark the first action in a long-term commitment for future reductions. https://ow.ly/zjWW50THV9Q

September is Attendance Awareness Month. We appreciate Governor Jeff Landry for signing a proclamation recognizing the month in Louisiana and for his student-first leadership. Regular school attendance should be prioritized, promoted, and reinforced across all communities, ensuring all students are equipped to grow, achieve, and thrive.

They utilized the associate teacher program to put industry professionals in the classroom as educators. Multiple funding opportunities have put more industry-standard equipment in the hands of students. Dr. Brumley took a learning walk around campus this morning.
