Upon receiving our new business cards, we couldn't help but see the connected Family Dollar with the faded paint and the brown paper on the windows looking like it was boarded up and closed but, it was open for business. This is the Family Dollar located at 2502 50th Lubbock, Texas and this was right before the historic deregulation of Lubbock, Texas was going to start on October 1, 2023, before being switched to January 5, 2024. I went into the sore with our brand new business cards and asked to speak with the manager on duty. We were pleased to be able to speak with two managers and both female, because Family DollarDollar Tree Stores is known to support diversity in business and in our communities. I gave them both my new business cards and inquired on why the store was looking so worn and run down; basically a eye sore to the community. I was just informed that they love the organization, but there just aren't any resources for new paint, or anything else, but they mentioned how much this store and company means to them both. It was at that moment that those words of Warren Buffett lite a light bulb, and it was that realization that through energy deregulation we can do better for business, and better for our communities.
