While Direct Air Capture (DAC) is highly capex intensive, the energy consumption of incumbent technologies is a key cost factor. When thermochemical and electrochemical pathways achieve similar capex reduction, the zero-heat requirement of electrochemical pathways helps with the final needed cost reduction. However, at energy costs of USD 20/MWh and lower, amine and zeolite sorbents are less expensive than hybrid electroswing solutions. Regional availability of low-cost renewables will therefore play a role in scaling DAC. Learn more in our e-book, "Economics of Direct Air Capture: Pathways to Cost Reduction": https://lux.works/3TYr3gX
