We deliver value, technology and leadership to more than 10,000 archives, libraries, museums and information professionals, and we are always looking for dynamic, mission-driven people to join our team and help us serve our members. The ultimate purpose of our work here at Lyrasis can be summed up by our organizational mission and value statement. Scite (https://lnkd.in/ebXVm6Gp) is an AI-powered research and discovery platform that analyzes and provides citation context for scientific papers, helping researchers evaluate the credibility and impact of scholarly publications. The Scite database contains more than 1.2 billion citations and 185 million articles. Following Scite’s acquisition by Research Solutions and investments in AI and integrations with LibKey and other tools, Scite is planning to transition from its early adopter pricing. Current subscribers will continue to benefit from a 40%-plus discount off regular pricing, and all subscribers will continue to receive deep discounts and low renewal rates through Lyrasis. However, new subscribers will see higher rates starting July 1. To benefit from Scite’s current lower pricing rates, libraries must commit to a new subscription by June 30, 2024. Invoices may be paid by August 1. Subscribing libraries must also agree to the terms of a Lyrasis central license agreement, rigorously negotiated on behalf of our members. We have an exciting learning opportunity coming up on May 30, "eResource Authentication: A Review of Methods, Functionality, and Common Questions" with panelists from OCLC, Lyrasis, and The Palace Project. In this session the presenters will be reviewing a broad sweep of user authentication basics, methods, and challenges. It will include discussions on authentication vs. authorization; explanations of the types of authentication and how they function; SAML attributes and identity providers; levels of user privacy available for each type authentication; and recent changes and advances that may affect authentication.
