Today marks the one year anniversary of Maine's deadliest mass shooting. This past Tuesday, Maine Public held a listening and panel event in Lewiston centering the new limited series podcast, Breakdown, which just premiered today. At the event moderated by Mark Simpson, news director, we heard from Maine Public, Portland Press Herald & Sun Journal reporters who have been on the ground looking for answers for the last year. We also learned the latest in accessibility efforts and setbacks for Maine's deaf and hard of hearing community. The Breakdown podcast and event are part of a broader reporting collaboration between Maine Public, FRONTLINE PBS & The Portland Press Herald. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gzriKN6d

This was their chance to see one of the hottest news topics, offshore wind, up close. Peter and Molly cover stories about climate, clean energy, the environment & more for Maine Public Radio News. Here's a look at some recent reporting from the Climate Desk: https://lnkd.in/gtNMfSX4 And here's a cool behind the scenes look at the adventure in the gulf that day: https://lnkd.in/gX4qPxES Maine Public’s Climate Desk is made possible by Androscoggin Bank, with additional support from Evergreen Home Performance, Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, & Lee Auto Malls.
