From R&D to quality management, Sven has never been bored at Mankiewicz, and he loves how our US team turns ideas into action. Watch the video to learn more about his journey.
Writing history as a global team - Simply better together. Let's ask Sven. Sven has been an integral part of the Mankiewicz family for over 25 years! Over the years, Sven has worked in many different roles, from research and development to quality management. Six years ago, Sven finally fulfilled his teenage dream and emigrated to the USA. He now works as a Quality Manager at our Charleston office. Sven is really taken with the culture of his colleagues in the US and the speed with which they turn great ideas 💡 into operational processes thanks to excellent communication. "Once you're there, you're hooked" Charleston may be a stopover in Sven's life, but Mankiewicz is definitely not. He sums up what makes working here so special: "In 25 years, I've never been bored! Modern wind turbine blades are generally equipped with lightning protection systems (LPSs) to mitigate the destructive effects of lightning strikes. These systems typically involve surface-mounted lightning receptors connected to grounded down conductors. When a storm cloud induces a strong electric field, it generates upward streamers from the receptors on the blade, which connect with the downward leaders from the cloud, safely channeling the electrical charge to the ground.
