We've been in a brick frenzy lately, so it felt like the perfect time to share our past project 305 23rd Street. Executed with a focus on holistic design, 305 23rd Street is a striking five-story boutique condominium building in quiet South Slope. Often referred to as its own town within the city, the neighborhood is home to historic landmarks and treelined streets of row-houses. 23rd Street is a modern but seamless addition to the neighborhood. Steps away from, one of America's first rural cemeteries, 305 23rd Street gracefully merges into the vast greenery of Green-Wood Cemetery. Prioritization of a healthy indoor/outdoor balance was integral to design plans. To create the cohesive connection to the surrounding verdant space for all units, our team responded with a symmetrical building design. Large balconies are accented with modern glass railings and flowerboxes line large front-facing windows. All units include private outdoor areas that feed into sunlight-infused interiors and greenery and wood accents contribute to curb appeal. In stark contrast to Green-Wood's serene park views, communal and private outdoor spaces also offer sights such as Liberty Island from the West and from the North, the Manhattan skyline. Material choices like red brick along the façade, windows with sleek shadow boxes, and black metal details create a form that exudes raw but intentional simplicity. #Architecture #Architects #Design
