Signage is going up at Taylor Pointe 🎉 All 3 buildings of this market-rate project are nearing completion, which will soon deliver 177 units of housing in Nashua, NH. The site is separated by a public street, so it was important for the design to create an active street front. An arched canopy highlights the main entrance and adds visual interest. 3, 2, 1... go! 🏃♂️ Do you see MSA's Gavin Bourbon (with his daughter), Vernon Apgar, and Phillip Saltmarsh (with his daughters) running in last weekend's Pack & Boots 5k? It was a family event for MSA, and we're cheering them on for their support of Easterseals NH and Veterans Count. 🙌

As Austin's population continues to grow, the region's healthcare needs are expanding as well. 📈 As architects, it's important for us to hear the medical community's priorities and challenges so we can best support the future of healthcare infrastructure. MSA’s Adam Wagner AIA, LEED AP and Nathan Siems, AIA joined ULI Austin today to hear local experts discuss this topic. The panel explored patient-centric design, sustainable building practices, and state-of-the-art facilities, and how these design approaches are enhancing care delivery. Many thanks to moderator Theresa Tighe (Senior Development Director of the American Heart Association Austin), panelists Stacy Thompson, PsyD (Superintendent, Austin State Hospital), Dr. Hetal-Gadhia, D.O. (Pediatric Hospitalist at DELL CHILDRENS MEDICAL CENTER OF CENTRAL TEXAS Center), and Travis Laird (COO at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin) for sharing their important insights.

Who else remembers this commercial from 1990? ✈️
Back when I was 14, United Airlines aired a commercial that struck a chord with me and has stayed with me to this day. The commercial emphasized the importance of maintaining personal connections with clients. The ad highlighted how technology, even then with phone calls and faxes, was beginning to interfere with those relationships. Fast forward to today, and though we now rely on emails, Zoom calls, and smartphones, the message remains just as relevant. While technology continues to evolve, our fundamental need to connect on a personal level with those we do business with hasn't. I wonder if United Airlines realized back then just how profound and timeless their message would remain decades later. https://lnkd.in/eVt-258Q

Nearly two football fields in length, the Marek tucks 250 market rate units into a picturesque sloped site. Color and framing break up the visual impact of this long façade, and integrate the two 4-story apartment buildings connected by a 2-story amenities building. Saxon Partners LLC planned the Marek to provide convenient housing for the area's medical professionals at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and White River Junction VA Medical Center, as well as other professionals across the Upper Valley region. As many residents here work long hours, efficient apartments and robust amenities offer convenient opportunities to relax and have fun close to home. During design, MSA and Saxon Partners built a full-scale mock-up of both unit types, including furniture, in a vacant retail facility. This creative exercise enabled the Saxon team to experience the finished product, and allowed our design team to ensure that Saxon achieved exactly what they wanted. Now complete, The Marek welcomes residents home with natural light pouring through oversized windows and views of the stunning landscape. Glass sliding doors, 9' ceilings, open shelving, and condo level finishes complete the modern, polished aesthetic. Meet us at the Moose 🍻 A new wall of glass at the entrance floods this formerly-dim downtown hot spot with natural light, and a new waiting lounge offers an inviting hub to relax while tables are readied. Before it expanded into a vacated retail space next door, the Thirsty Moose Tap House suffered from a narrow entrance and dim interiors. Now, even the back corner tables have views of the sidewalk outside. In the expanded area, an impressive new 60’ white oak bar is a highly-visible focal point, sitting atop an elevated existing floor height. It doubles the total bar length and features 200 under-floor taps. A thoughtful phasing approach limited the Thirsty Moose's closure time to only 7 weeks. Today guests fill the sunny tables and spill onto the sidewalks, making this expanded watering hole a central gathering place for locals and tourists alike.
