  • Join us in welcoming Masonic Village at Elizabethtown's new executive director, Michael Katzenmoyer! Previously, he served as Masonic Village's director of facilities and grounds for almost 10 years. While in this role, he greatly improved resident work order response times and increased the campus's overall energy efficiency. A Certified Facilities Manager and Certified Energy Auditor, he has studied at Berks Technical Institute (electrical technology) and Elizabethtown College (business administration). He and his wife, Charlotte are residents of Elizabethtown and have five children and one grandchild. “I am committed to providing exceptional customer service to our residents and visitors while managing, coaching and developing team members in furthering our Mission of Love,” he said.

  • Best wishes to Mike Rowe, executive director, Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, on his retirement! Shown with the Quilt of Valor he received last week, Mike has been with us since 2019 overseeing and guiding staff and residents through many changes. He plans to enjoy time with family in Virginia. “While my heart is sad, it is full of tremendous gratitude and cherished memories that will be with me forever,” Mike said.

  • Masonic Village at Elizabethtown’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s team, comprised of staff and residents, surpassed its $5,000 fundraising goal and was able to contribute $6,123.30 to the cause. Assessment and ranking uses four categories: performance data, recommendations of medical professionals, accreditations and resident satisfaction. 1,050 facilities from 25 states were recognized, and Masonic Village communities were in the top 10 or 15 for their respective sizes.   • Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is holding a winter outerwear drive in September, with the donated items going to employees in need in October. Drop off new or gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves at the Human Resources building, by the Masonic Health Care Center gift shop and Freemasons Cultural information desk or in the James Buchanan clubhouse office lobby. Any items that are left over after the distribution days (Oct. 11, 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Oct. 12, 8 a.m. - noon) will go to local community organizations, including ECHOS and the Elizabethtown Area School District. They are also looking for volunteers to help with setup, distribution and teardown. Interested parties can contact Connie Kopp, director of risk management.
