About us

MACC protects wetlands, open space, and biological diversity through education and advocacy and support of local Conservation Commissions throughout Massachusetts. MACC advocates for strong science-based laws, regulations, and policies. The Conference includes 24-27 workshops and trainings, 40-50 exhibits, a keynote speaker, publications, and president’s reception MACC offers specialized education programs, including Fundamentals for Conservation Commissioners, workshops, and one-topic conferences. Programs are held frequently around the state and via webinar. MACC wrote and publishes Protecting Wetlands and Open Space: MACC's Environmental Handbook for Massachusetts Conservation Commissioners, now in its 10th edition. MACC publishes the Massachusetts Runoff, Erosion & Sediment Control Field Guide, distributes a Quarterly E-Magazine to members, and disseminates e-MACCs at least twice a month.
