MassHealth was honored to be part of the October 17th Performance Recognition Program Awards Ceremony at the State House, where three MassHealth teams received awards recognizing their outstanding work. The MassHealth Redeterminations Team and Emergency Shelter Response Team were recognized with the Manuel Carballo Award for Excellence in Public Service, while the Eligibility Policy Team received the Commonwealth Equity in Governance Award. Congratulations to the over 130 staff honored at the event!

On October 10th, MassHealth staff celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a dynamic potluck event. There was music, laughter, and traditional dishes such as Brazilian Coxinha, Colombian Arroz con Pollo, Spanish Tortilla Española, Argentinean Alfajores, Puerto Rican Empanadas, and so much more! Thank you to the new MassJuntos Employee Resource Group for arranging this event and showcasing the diversity that makes our MassHealth community special. MassJuntos = More Together. 🌎❤️

MassHealth's own, Everett Lamm, Associate Medical Director, Office of Clinical Affairs, had the honor of attending the Community Health Program’s (CHP) Dental Center opening in Great Barrington on October 1st. The new 7-operatory space in Great Barrington restores CHP’s dental presence across southern, central, and northern Berkshire County. The new office is serving approximately 800 people around the Berkshires community and takes MassHealth insurance. Bethany Kieley, the CEO, gave a heartfelt thanks to EOHHS for the support and funding during her remarks. Everett says, "It was wonderful to reconnect with old colleagues, board members, and to see the incredible updated facilities. Responding to the increasing demand for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, EOHHS is partnering with UMass Chan Medical School Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing and Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers to promote opportunities for eligible hospital licensed health centers and community health centers! The application for the final Cohort of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Fellowship funding is now open to all hospital licensed and community health centers who seek to support new PMHNPs.
