Exciting Career Opportunities: We’re Hiring at MassHousing! I’m thrilled to share that the MassHousing Equitable Business Development team is expanding! We’ve recently launched the Community Investment Initiative division, focused on driving moderate-sized housing production and preservation through a suite of soft debt subsidies. With programs like CommonWealth Builder, Neighborhood Stabilization Program and more, these subsidies aim to support moderate size homeownership production, small scale rental renovations, and capital improvement grants for sober housing. As we grow our team, we’re looking to fill two key roles that will primarily support The CommonWealth Builder Program. This landmark initiative was created to address the racial homeownership gap in Massachusetts by creating wealth-building opportunities for moderate-income households, particularly in communities of color. Notably, it’s the largest state-level program of its kind, facilitating the construction of new, moderately priced single-family homes and condominiums. Congratulations to Just A Start on completing Rindge Commons in Cambridge which delivered 24 new affordable apartment homes and the 70,000 square foot Economic Mobility Hub that will provide a state-of-the-art education and job training center for youth and adults and universal pre-kindergarten classrooms available to the entire neighborhood. MassHousing is pleased to be part of this innovative new development.
