Mayo Aviation extends its heartfelt congratulations to Andy Priester, chairman of George J. Priester Aviation on being awarded the NATA Distinguished Service Award. This recognition is a true testament to his commitment and the strong family legacy he continues to uphold.

Andy Priester, the third generation in his family to run George J. Priester Aviation and its family of companies, will be honored with the NATA Distinguished Service Award for his lifelong commitment to the future of general aviation. Joining the family business after a stint in education, Priester has led the company through a period of growth into one of the most respected general aviation aircraft management and global charter businesses. “I am thrilled for Andy as I consider him as much of a friend as a colleague,” said NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna, C.M. “He has been a mentor to many in the aviation business community while continuing to grow his company into a world-class operation. Andy has also provided NATA with strong leadership and insight through his board and committee leadership roles, helping the Association navigate critical issues with his creative and strategic focus.” https://lnkd.in/eq9AKm4k #bizav

Looking back at the 1980s, we celebrate a pivotal era when Mayo Aviation's fleet expanded significantly, with King Airs playing a central role. At that time, we proudly held the title of having the largest non-scheduled fleet of King Airs globally, a recognition from Beechcraft that remains a highlight of our history. Here's to our journey and the many milestones along the way. #FlyMayo #ThrowbackThursday

Gwen Mayo's legacy in aviation remains a beacon of innovation and compassion. Born in Minnesota and later settling in Colorado after earning her PhD, Gwen, alongside Bill Mayo, pioneered advancements in air transportation. In the 1970s, their two King Airs revolutionized air ambulance services for a children's hospital leased through Rocky Mountain Airlines. In 1978, Mayo Aviation was established, now a testament to their early vision. Over the years, Mayo Aviation expanded its operations, fostering strong partnerships with Flight For Life and enhancing medical transportation capabilities. Today, Mayo Aviation continues to uphold Gwen Mayo's commitment to excellence and service in aviation. #FlyMayo #BizAV #AviationDaily
