- 2,800 kWdc of solar (which would completely cover over three football fields!) - 3,200,000 kWh/year savings from efficiency - 24% total progress to 100% renewable energy goal That's the Phase One decarbonization project the Middleton-Cross Plains School District Board recently approved! Grateful to Dana Monogue (Superintendent) and Jerrud Rossing (Assistant Superintendent) for leading the way on decarbonizing the District - here I am with them, Scott Johnson P.E. and Eric Runez of McKinstry at the American Association of School Administrators conference in New Orleans, where we spoke about decarbonization program as well as roadmap we completed for them, which will allow them to fully achieve the District's 100% renewable energy (complete decarbonization) by 2035 target. #mcpasd #mckinstry #zerocarbon #decarbonization #climatesolutions #undauntedk12

This week, McKinstry teams across the country came together to celebrate Women in Construction Week and International Women's Day. As part of the celebration, teams gathered for special screenings of Women of Carbon — a documentary spotlighting women driving decarbonization in the built environment. In Seattle, the event featured a panel discussion moderated by McKinstry’s Caroline Traube, PE, Principal & Director of Zero+ Decarbonization Planning, with three leaders helping shaping sustainability in the built environment: - Anita Jeerage, Unico Properties - Jennifer Knauer, King County Metro Transit - Sylvia Derrick James, UW Tacoma Aligned with our commitment to sustainability, we also made the event zero waste by partnering with Bold Reuse, a local woman-owned business to leverage reusables instead of disposables. #WICWeek #WICWeek25 #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #IWD2025
