The GC REAIM - Global Commission on Responsible Artificial Intelligence in the Military Domain convened its commissioners and experts in Washington last week for well-tailored discussions on AI ahead of the global summit on AI to be held in Korea later this year. As a member of the commission’s expert group, I appreciated the full spectrum of stakeholders represented: generals, ministers, engineers, and academics with broad geographic representation. This is the kind of venue where we need to have tough conversations about the future of AI and its applications, rules, and norms. Middle East Institute McLarty Associates #AI
