Each year, the MDFAWL - Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers presents its awards to deserving women and men who show a commitment to the professional advancement of female lawyers and the promotion of women’s rights. This year, partner Jerry Hamilton was recognized for the work he has done to advance gender equality in the legal profession. The formal recognition was bestowed at the MDFAWL’s GOOD (Guys Overcoming Obstacles to Diversity) reception on October 24 in Coral Gables. It’s another honor for Jerry and we are immensely proud of his unwavering commitment to equality in the practice of law. #TrialLawyers #HMBLaw #HMBTrials

🌟 If It's Not Litigation, What is It? - A Panel Discussion at FIU Law 🌟 Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting Florida International University School of Law to share my experiences as a non-litigation attorney. Here are some key points from my talk: 📅 Discussed a day in the life as a non-litigation attorney, including my daily routine and challenges. ⚖️ Highlighted the process of negotiations—a lot of work takes place before contract formulation even begins. 📝 Offered practical advice to the law students, emphasizing the importance of avoiding the pitfalls of comparing yourself to others! I hope my experiences can guide future legal professionals. Feel free to connect if you have any questions! Thanks Sunny Toreihi, Demitrianna Grekos, Florida International University - College of Law, and MDFAWL - Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers for the invitation!

Yesterday was a pretty special day. Margot Moss was in DC being honored as a finalist for the NLJ's winning litigators. And MDFAWL - Miami-Dade Florida Association for Women Lawyers honored me with its Good Guy award. What a touching honor. My partner Lauren Field Krasnoff gave a beautiful introduction. Below is a clip. I am so proud of and grateful for our little firm, Markus/Moss. Five of our seven lawyers are powerhouse women.
