M/E was proud to attend the Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) On the Move Gala on Saturday. The event focused on the 2024 Fund-a-Need initiative to build and operate a mobile medical clinic. Through this mobile clinic, GCH will provide preventive care, chronic disease management, mental health assessments, and more, ensuring all children have access to the quality healthcare they deserve. Alex joins our Rochester office as the newest member of the admin team. She is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam where she earned her bachelor’s degree as a dual major in Archaeology and Anthropology. Having grown up loving archaeology and deciding to go to school for it, Alex started early at a nearby childhood camp in Plattsburgh, NY, which used to be an old Mill during the Depression. There, she would spend hours digging and finding all kinds of historical artifacts (glass bottles, old clothing, ceramic dishware, etc.). In high school, she was a part of the archaeological venturing crew through Boy Scouts of America from 2011-2013. Their crew did activities like archaeological digs at Mills Mansion with St. John Fisher Field School and curation tours at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. Along with several years’ experience in sales, Alex has worked as a Biomedical Anthropology Intern and as an Archaeological Field Technician for Fort Drum’s Cultural Resources Program and for EDR Environmental Design and Research. M/E recently provided the MEP services for the Fountaingate Gardens in Long Island, NY. Since 1988, the Gurwin Healthcare System has been providing healthcare services and senior living accommodations to the residents of Long Island. The Gurwin Jewish Healthcare Foundation has expanded its continuum of care with the development of the new Fountaingate Gardens independent living community. The 129 newly built, independent apartments now offer various amenities and services to residents, with healthcare services readily accessible at the Gurwin facilities contiguous to the Fountaingate campus. New construction included two residential buildings, the Terraces (27 apartments) and the Parkview (102 apartments). A third building called the Clubhouse serves as the campus’s centerpiece, holding the community’s dining hall and central lobby. Welcome, Sean Maloney! Sean joins our Capital District Office as a Design Engineer in the HVAC group. He is a graduate of Merrimack College with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. In college, Sean was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He was also the Chair of Philanthropy in his fraternity, TKE. Prior to M/E, Sean had a 1-year contract with GE where he worked on steam turbines.
