Modernizing the way the world manages land and land administration systems with Blockchain based technology.
About us
Medici Land Governance was founded in 2018 as a public benefit corporation to put the power of property ownership and equity into the hands of individuals. We leverage blockchain and other technologies (such as machine learning, cryptographic and reporting systems, verifiable claims, etc.) modernize land governance, titling, and administration with a secure public record of land ownership. Land records stored on the blockchain make land ownership transparent, secure, verifiable, and recognizable by local and global economies. Blockchain applied to land improves lives, stimulates economies, and strengthens communities. MLG supports agencies in the digitization of their current records, engendering trust and security in data by diminishing human error and accidental damage to records. MLG products include Blockchain-based Land Registration and Administration, Systematic Land Titling, Geographic Information Systems, Land Valuation and Taxation. Using MLG products, governments can more effectively administer land records, enforce property rights, generate revenue, and support functioning property markets. Our team is comprised of leaders with deep experiences in building and delivering quality, resilient technology products and services.

A quick read on our Vacant Properties with the City of Baltimore. A blockchain land recorder will reduce valuable time and costs to the city, and have an immeasurable positive effect on the Real Estate industry as a whole. With properly recorded titles to chain, we aim to decrease cost burdens to homeowners and help in this difficult time of acquiring property across the USA. https://lnkd.in/gjuR2YDN

We have some amazing news to share! Medici Land Governance Inc. has teamed up with the City of Baltimore to bring blockchain technology to record their vacant housing inventory. This incredible achievement wouldn't have been possible without the incredible efforts of Ebony Thompson , the solicitor general of Baltimore, who led this project and made it happen. Through our partnership, the City of Baltimore will run a pilot program using blockchain technology alongside their existing system. This will speed up and simplify the process of transferring property titles. It's just the beginning of what we can achieve together! We're even exploring the idea of using smart contracts for payment systems and considering tokenizing vacant properties. We're beyond excited about the potential of this project. It has the power to give people who have been denied real estate ownership a chance to finally benefit from one of the oldest and most valuable ways of building wealth. A big thank you goes out to Ebony Thompson and Mayor Brandon M. Scott and everyone involved for their incredible vision and hard work. This partnership is a significant step in bringing blockchain technology to more communities. We can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on the City of Baltimore and beyond! #blockchain #baltimore #medicilandgovernance #tokenization #vacanthousing #mayorbrandonscott
Today, I’m thrilled to announce the Board of Estimates approved the City of Baltimore to utilize blockchain technology to record its vacant housing inventory! In January 2022, Mayor Brandon M. Scott asked each agency to come up with recommendations to combat vacant housing. It has been a long two years, but in partnership with Medici Land Governance, pro bono counsel from Ropes & Gray LLP, The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development, Mayor Brandon M. Scott, Madam CAO Faith P. Leach, and Deputy Solicitor Stephen Salsbury, the Law Department begins implementing our greatest recommendation today! The agreement with Medici Land Governance will enable the City to test this technology through a pilot which will run parallel to our existing system, providing an opportunity to expedite and streamline the transfer of titles. This signifies the first phase of utilizing the technology, with the hopes of incorporating smart contracts into our payment systems and tokenization of our vacant properties. This technology has the potential to enable individuals who have been denied the opportunity to own real estate to finally experience the advantages of one of the oldest and most significant assets for building wealth. It’s a great day for the City of Baltimore and for blockchain expansion! Huge thank you to: Mayor Brandon M. Scott, Faith P. Leach, Stephen Salsbury, Commissioner Alice Kennedy, Todd Carter, Nick J. Mosby, Bill Henry, Ali El Husseini, Phd, Justin K.; Jim Kyung-Soo Liew, Ph.D., and Jennifer J. Mielke! #blockchain #blockchaintechnology #affordablehousing
