Starting a company is nearly impossible. It’s hard for anyone, but for women, the road is often even steeper. We have to prove ourselves more, push harder, and fight through the no’s that come faster and more often. Trying to disrupt an entire industry? The odds are never in your favor. Yet here we are. The no’s pile up. The people you have to convince seem endless. It’s both magical and infuriating. But to build something from nothing, we need people who say, I’m going for it anyway. This list is a recognition of those founders—the ones who refused to accept ‘impossible.’ The ones who heard ‘you can’t’ and did it anyway.
