I’m super proud to share Hadley was featured on the Nasdaq Marqee for our work in making 529 savings the new standard in workplace benefits and helping employers get corporate tax credits for offering 529 benefits. It was truly an incredible moment seeing my niece’s name and the logo’s butterfly wings representing my grandmother light up over Times Square. Huge thank you to Gaingels for selecting me as a Gaingels 100 founder. It’s an honor to be included alongside some of the world’s most outstanding founders. Today also is National Coming Out Day. Visibility is the single greatest force to generate change. 12 years ago I came out to the world by sharing a photo of me on the DC Pride magazine. 529 savings give all Americans — even those without children — the power to chart our own paths for financial independence to live our most authentic lives. Americans at all stages in life can use 529 savings to go back to school to reskill or upskill in career training programs, in addition to school, student loan repayment, disability expenses, and retirement. This is especially important for underserved and underrepresented communities who largely remain in the dark on 529 savings, as <5% Americans have 529 accounts. Let’s chat if you’d like to be a part of our coalition in bringing 529 savings to your workplace. The sky’s the limit, when we help each other save for it.
