From "The Devil Wears Prada" 💅🏼 to logistics 🚙: a story that proves you don’t have to stick to one industry—you can start fresh in a new one. After years of managing internal logistics for various companies and projects in the fashion industry and other creative fields, Joshe Ordonez Ordoñez launched a specialized courier service for the corporate sector in the U.S. At just 27, this Cuencan entrepreneur has made New York City her home and operational base for the past six years, where she founded Airpals Office Shipping. Starting with WhatsApp, Airpals quickly evolved. By December 2020, amid the pandemic, they launched their full platform. 🔹 Airpals Office Shipping takes a triple-bottom-line, sustainable approach to NYC's B2B courier industry. Clients receive instant service quotes, avoiding unexpected price increases. Deliveries are made directly by an #Airpals team member—even via the city's subway. They only deliver to a building's reception or mailroom if requested by the client. With Airpals, you can also get discounts on services like FedEx, UPS, and United States Postal Service. 🔹 Airpals utilizes efficient, eco-friendly routes to minimize carbon emissions, aligning with their commitment to sustainability. Beyond environmental impact, they focus on responsible growth that positively influences society. 🔹 The platform is designed for growing teams, ensuring flexibility—whether it’s a single logistics expert or an entire team that requires transparency and accountability, there’s a plan for everyone. So, for your next delivery, remember—there’s an easier way with Airpals Office Shipping 📦 #MGVCapital

Every month, we engage in discussions with startups from our portfolio to exchange key insights from their reading experiences. The most amazing thing about this initiative is that we even have a waiting list! Plus, we have numerous recommended books (along with their respective lessons 👀) to share with our audience 📖 This time, it's Barsi L. turn, the CEO of Shuttle Central (YC W22), who shared his insights after reading Simon Sinek's 👉🏻 Leaders Eat Last. Why did he choose this book?👇🏻 Barsi L. Luna has always been a fan of Simon Sinek, but this book in particular left a significant impact on him. The most important lesson he took away was understanding his leadership style. He realized that entrepreneurs can sometimes be a bit "stubborn," and that recognizing the unique leadership style each person has is crucial for effectively leading a team. 👉🏻 What to do? What not to do? What is the limit for the CEO, the founder, the entrepreneur, everything? His biggest lesson has been understanding how to cultivate a strong culture within his startup from the ground up. He learned that while the founder’s vision is important, it may differ from the broader vision of the company or startup. The team will gradually align with and embody this culture as it evolves. 🏅 He also gained significant insight into the concept of the 'circle of safety.' According to Simon Sinek, a 'circle of safety' is a company culture where employees' needs are prioritized over the company’s profits. By putting employees' needs first, you create an environment where they feel secure enough to collaborate and innovate. For Barsi L. Luna, culture is everything 🤝🏻 #MGVCapital #FoundersPicks #books

We are very proud of the recent publication by the renowned media outlet Rest of World featuring their interview with Andrea Campos founder & CEO of Yana. 👉🏻 Andrea, who struggled with depression for years, founded Yana in 2017. 🔹 Yana is a mental health app whose chatbot provides emotional companionship. Andrea Campos began using generative artificial intelligence for the Yana chatbot after the launch of ChatGPT in 2022. The English version of Yana was recently launched, and the app already has 15 million users in Latin America and the U.S. 🔹 Yana's expansion into the U.S. market, where there is already a broad offering of English-language AI companions, stems from a critical need. While many #AI companions exist in English, most are not designed specifically for emotional companionship and are instead focused on business applications. Yana believes it is time to offer English-speaking users the same supportive tools that have already helped millions in Latin America. 🇺🇸 There is a significant Latino population in the U.S. that we also aim to reach with our Spanish version, ensuring that both English and Spanish speakers have access to the emotional support they need. Yana has been chosen as one of Forbes México's 30 Promises for 2024. 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/ep-3bKCg #MGVCapital
