Today our CEO Kim M. Nolte met with the leaders of The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists, Janet Hamilton, Laura Mascuch and Marci Layton in Atlanta discuss ways MCN and CSTE can work together to prevent the spread of H5N1 among agricultural workers.

Migrant health justice is the core of our work here at Migrant Clinicians Network. Our Witness to Witness team is taking a strong stand against this election season's anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies with this fundraising campaign -- they are raising funds for a three-part webinar series for clinicians to address anti-immigrant rhetoric impact on patients. Please watch the videos, share, and support this important work at this critical moment.
Anti-immigrant rhetoric is not just words - they have consequences. Hateful words produce fear in those they target. When people are demeaned as a category -- immigrant, migrant - it is easier for people to dehumanize them, often leading to restrictive policies that make the lives of immigrants and migrants harder. Witness to Witness is exposing how anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies harm immigrant populations and the clinicians that serve them. A climate of anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies has significant negative effects on immigrant communities. One particular source of fear and worry that is impacting Latinx communities is gun violence. Read more from Witness to Witness: https://lnkd.in/ed2XhxWc
