“The Activated Insights survey results represent the overall quality our Homes provide to our Residents by our staff,” said Eric Meittunen, Deputy Commissioner - Veterans Healthcare. “We are very proud of the level of care that is provided and appreciate the work of all employees to provide this experience to Residents and families.” For the seventh year in a row, the Minnesota Veterans Homes in Fergus Falls, Luverne, Minneapolis and Silver Bay have received the Customer Experience Award from Activated Insights (formerly known as Pinnacle Quality Insight). The three newer Homes (Bemidji, Montevideo and Preston) will be eligible to earn this recognition next year. Qualifying for the Customer Experience Award signifies that these Homes have consistently ranked within the top 15% of care providers across the nation over the past 12 months. Minnesota Veterans Homes - Silver Bay wrapped up its Winter Olympics Games with a fun and memorable closing awards ceremony. Team Red, led by Coach Tosha, captured the big trophy. Many Residents earned gold, silver and bronze medals. Congratulations to all participants on a job well done!

Honoring our K9 heroes on National K9 Veterans Day! The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit visited the Minnesota Veterans Home in Preston, where residents, staff, and guests got an up-close look at the dogs' impressive skills. Thank you for your service, both human and canine!

On National K9 Veterans Day, we salute the extraordinary service and sacrifice of military working dogs. These brave canines have played a vital role in protecting our freedom, serving alongside their handlers with loyalty and courage. Their contributions to military operations are invaluable, ranging from detecting explosives to providing comfort and companionship to troops.
