Last week the City of Milwaukee Health Department Laboratory (MHDL) hosted the annual APHL - Association of Public Health Laboratories conference – bringing together over 1,400 scientists at the Baird Center to spotlight labs' vital role in public health. Adding to the celebration, MHDL marks its 150th year! This team of laboratory professionals and scientists works tirelessly to cover a broad range of disciplines, from COVID-19 wastewater testing to rapid STI diagnostics, lead testing, and city beach water quality monitoring.
