About us
The Major League Baseball Players Association Is the union that represents Players on the 40-man Major League rosters, as well as approximately 5,500 Minor League players employed by the 30 Major League baseball teams. The MLBPA also oversees MLB Players, Inc., which exclusively represents the group commercial and licensing activities involving active players. On behalf of its members, the union also operates the Major League Baseball Players Trust (www.trust.mlbplayers.com), a 501(c)3 charitable foundation that harnesses the expertise, influence, and passions of players to create meaningful and sustainable change in the lifelong well-being of others.

Players Inc. is happy to announce two new team members, Lainie De La Oz and Connor Maloney! Lainie has joined the team as its new Manager of Hard Goods.Before her role at Players Inc., Lainie was a Licensing Manager at WildBrain CPLG in New York. She has also worked as a Collegiate Licensing Manager at Outerstuff LLC and was a Licensing Manager/Marketing at Grey Matter Concepts. Her experiences encompass a wide range of responsibilities such as brand management, relationship building, brand compliance and integrity, forecasting, marketing, and more. Lainie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from Berkeley College, with a minor in International Business. Connor Maloney has joined the team as its new Quality Assurance Coordinator. Before his role at Players Inc., Connor was a Business Development Representative at Prophet Exchange. He has also worked as a Student Associate at the London Basketball Association, in England, and prior to that he was a Student Collaborator for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Connor holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Welcome, Lainie and Connor!

Congratulations again to the 2024 Players Choice Awards winners! 👏👏👏 Since 1992, Major Leaguers have recognized the on and off-field achievements of their peers through the Players Choice Awards. To date, in addition to the awards, the MLBPA charitable arm The Players Trust has recognized the outstanding performances of Players Choice Awards winners by contributing more than $4 million to charities around the world on behalf of the Award winners. The Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award is given to the Player whose leadership most inspires others to higher levels of achievement, named in honor of the MLBPA’s first full-time executive director, who served with distinction from 1966-1982. The award also comes with a $25K grant from the Players Trust, which will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Congratulations, Rhys Hoskins, on being named the 2024 Players Choice Awards Marvin Miller Man of the Year!
