Huge thanks to the talented ZUMIX youth who delivered amazing performances and to our MLCS youth for showcasing their incredible locally crafted swag. This event was a celebration of creativity, community, and youth empowerment right here in East Boston.

Our official Juneteenth Recap video is finally here!! We had so much fun sharing space with community, creating art together, dancing, and learning together about this important holiday and piece of history. The youth at MLCS have been participating at the East Boston Farmers Market, just like in previous years. They are selling the products they made themselves through Maverick Makers PRO, visit us at Central Square Park every Wednesday from 3 to 6 pm. On Tuesday Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and State Representative Adrian Madaro came to our offices to listen to community and youth leaders discuss our response work to support migrant families in East Boston over the last five months. Together we provided over 4,000 meals to hundreds of children and families over a five month period. We shared that work and will be compiling lessons learned, stories and recommendations into a community report.
