huh???... this is so confusing!!! First, there was Salesforce CPQ Then, Salesforce Billing Then, Salesforce Revenue Cloud Then, Salesforce Subscriptions Then, Salesforce Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) And now, lo and behold, Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) This is reflection of a super confused product strategy. Not sure how Salesforce CPQ customers are tolerating this. ❓no new features in the last 4 years ❓needs $$$ to make any changes ❓even if Salesforce commits to support CPQ indefinitely, this is a big mess Revenue Cloud, RLM, RCA ... where to go and what is next. Businesses need a simple, flexible yet powerful unified revenue architecture. CPQ, Billing and Metering in one omni-channel platform. This is a thesis we released 5 years ago publicly. Small things matter.
Traditional billing systems assume invoices need to be emailed to customers. However, larger customers usually have tools like Coupa, Anaplan, Ariba etc., for which invoices need to be uploaded instead of emailed. That makes the job of finance operations difficult. At MonetizeNow, using custom fields, we allow customers to mark the accounts that require uploading along with the instructions. That way, different dunning process can be designed for the emailed invoices vs uploaded invoices. Small things matter. #cfo #billing #finance

I am an engineer with both BTech and Masters in Computer Science. Before starting MonetizeNow, a revenue leader told me that 𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗦 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅. At that time I thought what's so hard about a charge that is on a recurring basis. This should be a really easy problem to solve. Not so fast, Mr. Spock.
