What a day, what a day! Money Magnets Club board and staff had the phenomenal experience of working with passionate people at the Charlotte Knights to learn about our work and to support a logistical project need as we prepare for fall programming. To top off the experience CHARLOTTE KNIGHTS CHARITIES INC presented a donation to us during the game that will fund two rotations of our kidpreneurs-in-training program!! Charlotte Knights TV hosts were gracious in allowing us to share live via their pre-game show about the importance of financial literacy and entrepreneurship learning early. Needless to say, it was a full and amazing day! Our newest #PurplePaladin is bringing the power of #FinancialLiteracy to kids and families who need it most. 💵💜 As a child, Dr. Alexandra Arrington loved the idea of starting a business, but she couldn’t find anyone to guide her on the basics of #entrepreneurship. And when she learned that her city of Charlotte was identified as the least likely of 50 major metro areas for children to rise out of poverty, she was determined to fill a gap for children in her community. She founded Money Magnets Club to provide financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills to elementary school students, helping them build confidence and competencies early on for financial success later in life.
