This year marks the 20th anniversary of the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides of The Bronx, presented by Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center! Join us on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Bay Plaza Shopping Center (200 Baychester Ave, Bronx, NY), to support breast cancer survivors and help fundraise for the American Cancer Society's support services and lifesaving research. The walk starts at 8:00 AM, with a rolling start through 11:00 AM, and concludes at 12:00 PM. Congratulations to Montefiore Einstein’s Matthew N. Bartels, MD, MPH, Chairman of Rehabilitation Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, who represented the International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ISPRM) at this year’s ‘Summit of the Future’ event at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters. The event aims to produce an inter-governmentally negotiated, action-oriented Pact for the Future with chapters on sustainable development and financing for development; International peace and security; Science, technology and innovation and digital cooperation; Youth and future generations; and transforming global governance.
