✨ Today was our second round of Cafecito with Mariela!✨ Our goal is to create a safe space for new immigrants to overcome fear from past experiences and better understand the role of law enforcement, their rights, and available resources. We started with a Círculo de Gratitud, reflecting on what we're thankful for. Gratitude keeps us grounded, positive, and connected. I’m proud to highlight two amazing young leaders: 1. Jhoana Quinteros MCPD Cadet, shared her journey and Cadet Program requirements available for our youth. 2. Heily Barrientos , a high school student, MCPD Explorer & Volunteer spoke to us about volunteering and how the program has impacted her.
