Coming soon is an episode of State of the Arts featuring artist Maureen Chatfield. Check out the trailer and her exhibition on view at the Morris Museum through September 29. This exhibition features New Jersey painter Maureen Chatfield’s investigation of her travel experiences juxtaposed with abstract paintings inspired by specific destinations. Chatfield’s large-scale narratives and colorful landscapes present universal themes of past and present, combined with humor and light-hearted reflections on relationships and the human experience. #maureenchatfieldfineart #painting #morristownnj #morrismuseum #oilpainting #art #travel

"New Jersey's total appropriation for the arts ranks 6th nationally. a stunning statistic, particularly given the Garden State’s size" reported NJ State Council on the Arts chair Elizabeth Mattson at today's NJSCA annual meeting convened today at the War Memorial, Trenton. How we at Morris Museum make creativity part of the lives of all in the region is enabled by foundational support from the Council annually. Great thanks to Assemblywoman Aura Kenny Dunn and Senator Anthony Bucco for your leadership!
