Congratulations to Amy Flemming, OT, and Colleen Dowd, PT, rehabilitation therapists at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation for receiving the July 2024 Mission Moment Award. Amy and Colleen were recognized for going above and beyond, showing her dedication to our patients and their family members. Here’s what her colleague had to say: "A local high school assistant principal was going to miss graduation due to being hospitalized. Two of his therapists went above and beyond by scheduling an outing outside of therapy hours to take him to the event. This required significant preparation, as he is medically complex and needed assistance from all disciplines. Vocational therapy (shout out to Vilma!) coordinated with the school to ensure all accommodations were met, nursing planned and administered his medications, and the kitchen staff provided a meal to take along. It was a true team effort, showcasing how our rehab team ensures patients can fulfill their roles even while hospitalized and after discharge. Special thanks to the Concierge Transport Team for getting them to the event!" MossRehab
