This just happened at Hydrogen Americas 2024 Summit & Exhibition: Chris Hessler moderated a panel of #hydrogen innovators to discuss how hydrogen can support hard-to-abate sectors in #decarbonization. The panel underscored the need for establishing long-term, robust markets that include sensible policy and incentives. ⭐𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓⭐ We're delighted Joshuah Stolaroff the CEO of Mote will be speaking about his insights and experience at #H2Americas2024 Dr. Stolaroff spent 11 years at LLNL as a staff scientist and Carbon Capture Technology Manager, leading projects in carbon capture, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy. At LLNL, Josh’s team brought an environmentally friendly, low-cost carbon capture technology to pilot, in partnership with SoCalGas and Xebec. Dr. Stolaroff was on the team at LLNL that completed the research “Getting to Neutral” which was in the inspiration for Mote. Prior to joining LLNL, Josh held an AAAS Science and Technology Fellowship at the U.S. EPA doing climate policy research and a post-doctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon’s Climate Decision Making Center. He has a PhD in Engineering & Public Policy and Civil & Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering Science from the University of California, Berkeley. His thesis on the feasibility of direct air capture, under Greg Lowry and David Keith, formed the groundwork for the company Carbon Engineering. Have you registered your all-access pass? What an amazing time participating in Kern High School District's Career & STEM Expo. Our VP of Projects John Grabowski spent the day engaging with students and discussing the importance of Mote's Biomass Carbon Removal and Storage (BiCRS) projects, the future for hydrogen in California, and what types of careers will be available at our facilities. He even met this incredible group of "hydrogen kids" who created a flash pyrolysis bench-scale unit to produce hydrogen for their school project.
