The first fully-integrated, comprehensive maternal health platform that unifies the maternal health ecosystem.

About us

Mother Goose Health unifies a fragmented maternity care system. By connecting the maternal health ecosystem into a single platform, Mother Goose provides a closed-loop approach to real time risk awareness, and sustained ongoing engagement connecting members with resources, removing barriers to care and improving outcomes. With sophisticated analytics and validated impact, value-based care is possible, lowering costs for health plans and increasing revenue for providers. Seamlessly integrating with the provider’s EMR and existing workflows, the obstetrician leads treatment and Mother Goose is there for the moments in between. The platform includes a patient facing mobile app, and maternity care coordinators who work with patients to connect them to live resources supporting nutrition, mental health, doula services, and breastfeeding support.

At Mother Goose Health, we are deeply committed to improving maternal health outcomes in rural communities. Last week our leadership team contributed to the development of innovative models to meet the unique needs of rural communities at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Rural Health Hackathon in Wilson, North Carolina. Maternal health outcomes in rural communities across the U.S. continue to fall short, with women facing unique challenges such as limited access to care, transportation barriers, and shortages of maternal healthcare providers. This gap in care often leads to higher rates of maternal mortality and poor outcomes for both mothers and babies. We look forward to continuing to work closely with leaders across rural communities to improve maternal and infant health outcomes. #RuralHealth #HealthcareInnovation #MaternalHealth

Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the CMS Rural Health Hackathon in Wilson, NC! It was inspiring to connect with so many passionate individuals and organizations, all focused on improving health outcomes in rural communities. The ideas and collaborations that emerged truly highlighted the innovative spirit needed to tackle the unique challenges in rural healthcare. I had the pleasure of working with Aditi Mallick, MD, Aundrea Williams, MSA, Mary Willoughby, and W Stan Taylor on team De-Frag to develop a model that leverages technology to better align the full care team and bring timely, actionable data and insights to providers. Through the use of thoughtful, integrated technology we have the opportunity to optimize the resources that currently exist while also improving outcomes, experience, and reducing avoidable costs. Big thanks to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Deloitte team for hosting such a productive event, and to everyone I had the chance to meet and collaborate with. I’m excited to take these insights forward and continue the work we’re doing at Mother Goose Health to ensure that every mother and baby, no matter where they live, has access to the quality care they deserve. Let’s keep the momentum going! #RuralHealth #MaternalHealth #Innovation #HealthEquity #HealthcareTransformation

Proud to share our latest blog post, diving deep into the critical need to enhance maternal healthcare across the U.S., especially for marginalized communities. The data speaks volumes—over 80% of maternal deaths in the U.S. are preventable, and yet the current fragmentation of our healthcare systems leaves too many mothers and babies at risk. The blog highlights the urgent need for comprehensive prenatal care, supported by digital innovation and telehealth, to bridge the gap in access and ensure every mother receives the care she deserves. From addressing common causes of hospitalization during pregnancy to showcasing the positive impact of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and telehealth, we explore how early intervention and continuous monitoring can lead to healthier outcomes for mothers and babies alike. This is more than just a healthcare issue; it's a societal imperative. By investing in quality prenatal care and leveraging technology, we can not only save lives but also reduce the economic burden of maternal morbidity, which currently costs the U.S. $32.3 billion annually. Let's continue to push for a healthcare system that works for everyone, ensuring that no mother is left behind. Thanks to advancements in medical and surgical treatments in recent years, the demographic profile of pregnant women has shifted dramatically. With a rise in the number of older expectant mothers, including those in their 30s and 40s, there is an increased prevalence of acquired cardiovascular disease (CVD) during pregnancy. This demographic shift, combined with multiple cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, and pre-eclampsia, has heightened the risks associated with pregnancy. Did you know that 75% of women experiencing maternal mental health conditions do not receive the care they need for recovery? Furthermore, suicide and overdose are the leading causes of death in the first year postpartum, with over 80% of these deaths deemed preventable. Last week, I had the privilege of connecting with Lynsey Gollehon, Mrs. Virginia International 2024 and Founder of Behind the Smile. As both a nurse and a mother, Lynsey brings invaluable personal and professional experience to the forefront of maternal mental health advocacy. She is using her platform to push for better mental healthcare during pregnancy and postpartum. Through Behind the Smile, Lynsey strives to break the stigma surrounding maternal mental health treatment and empower mothers with the knowledge to navigate their journeys effectively. I am grateful for allies like Lynsey who are working alongside us to address these critical issues and advocate for meaningful change. Doula appreciation post ‼ ‼ 🔊🤰❣ 🙏🏿 👏 Roughly 98% of American women give birth in a hospital setting. When you visualize the birthing experience, what do you see? For most, it's a hospital bed and an army of skilled clinicians such as Labor and Delivery nurses, OB/GYNs, Midwives, and perhaps a loved one(/s) to offer moral support and a hand to hold. These highly trained medical professionals are essential for monitoring labor progress, administering pain relief, managing complications, offering support, and performing clinical interventions when necessary. Each has a unique role, but did you know that there's another type of expert who can complement the medical care aspects? Those experts would be #doulas. Doulas provide emotional, physical, and educational support to women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. They focus on comfort measures and patient advocacy while providing continuous presence throughout the labor and delivery process and the early stages of adjusting to parenthood. Research has shown that having a doula present during labor and childbirth reduces the rate of C-sections, shortens labor, reduces the need for pain relief medications, and increases overall patient satisfaction. They are instrumental in providing personalized, patient-centric care during one of the most profound journeys: bringing new life into the world. Mother Goose would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all doulas for being there every step of the way. Your dedication, empathy, and compassion make an immeasurable difference for birthing people and their loved ones.
