The thing about social... The best content isn't complicated. The best content is shareable. The best content entertains. The best content is emotive. p.s. I shed many tears creating this video. But when it hits over 1 million views...it's worth it! 🥹 Motorsport Network #danielricciardo #formula1 #socialmedia

A busy and useful weekend at IBC - International Broadcasting Convention on behalf of Motorsport Network turned up this A2RL car which was fitting as it was back in Abu Dhabi at their event I first got to meet the brilliant team at MSN. Incidentally IBC - sort out your layout and group companies sensibly. I walked 8 miles on Sunday alone, far more than at NAB, a bigger show.

Synthetic fuel, or e-fuel, is coming to F1 in 2026 and with it the promise of carbon neutrality and zero-emission racing cars. How will that affect the sport we build our lives around? A return to lighter cars and the wail of V10s and V12s are irresistible enticements for racing fans. But what's the real story? Check out this week's James Allen on F1 podcast, with race engineering legend Paddy Lowe (7 Drivers' and 5 Constructors' World championships) and founder and CEO of the fossil-free synthetic fuel company Zero Petroleum, along with Joe Brown, a massive F1 fan (I can vouch) and publisher of the action-focused climate newsletter one5c and Motorsport Network's chief F1 editor Jonathan Noble. Lowe says synthetics that cost a fortune today will be cheaper to buy than normal fuels in 10 years. Brown says e-fuels take our eyes off the huge ball of carbon behind the logistics of the F1 circus. Noble says F1 technology's trickle-down possibilities are key to the sport. And as a bonus we also get Lowe's stories from his championship-winning career, in which he supported some of the best drivers in F1 history. What about the single line of code he wrote to give the Williams FW14B antilock brakes back in the '90s? That's in there too. It's a good show. You should listen to it.
