Mount Auburn Hospital has received five-out-of-five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in its annual quality and safety assessment. Less than 10 percent of the over 4,600 hospitals that were assessed received five stars as their Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating. “A five-star rating is a testament to our team's unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care,” said Ed Huang, MD, president of MAH. “This recognition reflects the dedication, compassion, and expertise that each of our staff brings to the hospital and the community every day. Beth Israel Lahey Health has opened a new multispecialty site in Watertown. The site, known as the BILH Care Center – Watertown, is located at 480 Pleasant Street and includes Primary Care and OBGYN services. Additional specialty services and an urgent care center will be opened at the site over the next several months. Chris Blydell and Justin Stanizzi played baseball together for Framingham State College and now, ten years later, the old teammates reconnected as both of their wives gave birth to boy-girl twins on July 21 at Mount Auburn Hospital! The girls came first in both deliveries and all four babies were born less than two hours apart. Their postpartum rooms at the hospital were just a couple of doors down. “It’s really cool to be able to relate to somebody who is going through something very similar,” Stanizzi said. "My doctor changed my life.” After visiting LHMC for debilitating abdominal pain that disrupted her daily life, Cassie Wise was diagnosed with adenomyosis. Following her diagnosis, Cassie joined multiple Facebook support groups and discovered a community of women sharing their personal experiences, and offering resources, advice and support. It was in these groups that she was told to seek care at the Mount Auburn Hospital Endometriosis Care Center.
