BLINK and you might miss it. For four days every two years, the cityscape of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky comes alive with the nation’s largest festival of light, art and projections. The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber-led festival dominates this week’s cultural calendar, of course, but there’s more here to enjoy. Other events include performances and events involve at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Museum Center, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), Sorg Opera House, Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, Vocal Arts Ensemble of Cincinnati, Dayton Ballet, Miami University and more.

The Cincinnati Art Museum is turning the tables this fall with an exhibition of work by museum staffers who usually work behind the scenes – organizing and presenting exhibitions. “CAMaraderie: Artists of the Cincinnati Art Museum,” a collection of about 70 works by nearly 40 CAM employees, opens Nov. 8. The exhibition is free to the public.

Longtime Price Hill Will staffer Samantha Conover is taking the reins as the nonprofit’s interim executive director, following Rachel Hastings’ resignation. An East Price Hill resident, Conover has been with PHW since 2016, serving as community engagement coordinator, then community engagement director and most recently, operations director. “I’m happy and ready to step up into this role as we enter a time of transition at Price Hill Will,” said Conover, who thanked Hastings for her leadership over the past six years. Hastings will stay on board through Jan. 1.

Sauerkraut, Stowe, Summermusik, Shakespeare, Superstar, Sexton. Not that we’re keeping track of the alphabet or anything, but check out the letter “S” this week. How about great food in Waynesville, a visit to the Harriet Beecher Stowe House for pb&j or an iconic musical about Jesus and some supper? Stroll down “Abbey Road” or across the Purple People Bridge with Summermusik (Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra) for a unique exhibit. The rest of the ABCs are also well-represented. Go ahead, Sing that Song while you check it all out.
