October is National Community #PlanningMonth and MSA is proud to have an award-winning Planning + Design Studio committed to developing planning documents that reflect the vision and voices of the public. One excellent example is the simultaneous creation of FOUR plans with overlapping public engagement efforts for the City of Waverly, Iowa, — an endeavor that earned MSA and project partners Toole Design Group and Counsilman-Hunsaker a 2023 Best Practice Award from the Iowa APA Chapter. Read all about it!

New Employee Orientation is an awesome opportunity to get to know our latest hires and their creative minds! At last week's event in Madison, teams embraced our "Balloon Structure Design Challenge," in which they collaborated to construct things like water towers, high-speed trains, radio towers, and water system maps using only balloons and tape. No surprise, our hiring instincts were correct: we've hired some resourceful, innovative new talent! Welcome to MSA. We're thrilled to have you on board.

Looking forward to this week's Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials fall conference in Elkhart Lake! MSA experts Laura Gilbert, P.E., Jason Testin, and Timothy Wendt, PE, will be joined by Joe Ledvina, Director of Facilities at the La Crosse School District, for an insightful discussion about electrical, HVAC, and plumbing options for school facilities, and how to select the best system to meet facility needs. Awesome shout-out from Wisconsin Public Radio about this proposed multiuse trail connecting Wausau to Tomahawk, a key piece of an ever-expanding recreational trail network in Wisconsin. MSA is the lead consultant developing the trail master plan for this project. We strongly believe in establishing safe, accessible trail systems across the nation as key drivers of citizen health, cross-community connectivity, and economic growth. Thanks WPR!

#PlayBall! MSA's Milwaukee and Mequon offices had an awesome time at last week's Milwaukee Brewers game --- doing some first-class tailgating in the parking lot before heading into the stadium. A gorgeous night for a really fun outing with the team!

Awesome (#GoPack) Congrats to all the participants (including two of our very own!) and thanks to MSA COO Michael J. Statz, P.E., for sharing his insights as part of the Successful Firm Leaders Panel Discussion --- in great company with industry colleagues!
We can’t think of a better place to kickoff the Leadership Institute Class of 2025. Anyone else get goosebumps walking through the tunnel?
