Changing Faces, Transforming Lives

About us

myFace is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the faces - and transforming the lives - of children and adults with facial differences. For 70 years, myFace has focused on providing access to holistic comprehensive care, education, resources and support that pave the way for better outcomes for those impacted by craniofacial conditions. myFace provides this holistic approach through the wide range of programs we fund, including support of the world-renowned myFace Center for Craniofacial Care at NYU Langone Health in New York City which serves as the gold standard for craniofacial care. myFace also provides other vital services, such as access to individual and family support groups, topic-driven workshops, informational webinars, and networking opportunities. In addition, myFace is committed to raising critical public awareness about craniofacial differences, and helps to educate others on the importance of celebrating uniqueness and always choosing to be kind. myFace provides travel assistance and housing for out-of-town families to decrease the burden and expense of travel so that families can focus on getting the care their loved ones need. myFace aims to provide individuals and families with the care, tools and information they need to successfully navigate their journey and live their best life possible.

Since October is Bullying Prevention Month we want to highlight a scene from the book Wonder. In this scene, though the insults and mockery from Auggie's best friend and classmates weren't said to him directly, their words--and especially his best friend's lack of genuineness in his friendship--were still just as hurtful, if not more so. Bullying comes in a variety of forms, but no matter how it manifests there's always a choice to be made. You can choose to be a bystander or a willing participant in hurting another person, or you can choose kindness and stand up for others. #BullyingPreventionMonth #Wonder #ChooseKindness

Halloween costumes and depictions of facial differences in media often portray these differences as scary and/or something less-than. We wanted to take this opportunity to "unmask" these harmful stigmas and to be mindful when dressing up this year. Everyone deserves kindness and respect, no matter their appearance. After all, people with craniofacial differences are just that - people. If you're interested in diving into topics around Halloween such as this, please consider joining our Spooktacular Stories call this Sunday, October 27th from 4-5PM ET. We will be hosting a candid discussion on the craniofacial community's experiences with the holiday. You can RSVP at https://lnkd.in/ea8BcxkK.

myFace is dedicated to helping the lives of children with craniofacial differences, just like Hannah from Bydgoszcz, Poland, who was born with Pfeiffer Syndrome. Whether it’s providing housing accommodations while they receive medical care at the myFace Center for Craniofacial Care at NYU Langone, or connecting them with specialists such as Dr. David Staffenberg, we strive to ensure these kids receive the best of care and lasting smiles!
