Meet Dr. Omar Nass 👋 Omar Nass, MD, FACC is a board-certified physician with over two decades of experience. He specializes in cardiology, including prevention, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiac imaging.  Dr. Nass completed his medical education at Damascus University Faculty of Medicine in Syria. He then completed his next phase of medical education at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, first with an Internal Medicine Residency and then a Cardiology Fellowship and Cardiology Research. It is with deepest sadness that we learn of the passing of Jack Harrell Jr. Jack Harrell Jr. joined the Lakeland Regional Health System Board of Directors in 2006 and served as Board Chair from 2013-2015. In addition, Jack and his wife Tina’s philanthropic spirit have made the dream of advanced comprehensive cardiac and behavioral health care possible through the Lakeland Regional Health Jack and Tina Harrell Institute for Advanced Cardiovascular Medicine and the Lakeland Regional Health Harrell Family Center for Behavioral Wellness. As we honor his memory, we extend our deepest sympathies to Jack’s family and loved ones. Please join us in celebrating his remarkable contributions and the compassionate spirit he embodied.
