Six years ago, I attended my first NAAIA - National African American Insurance Association conference in 2018. I was a student at Georgia State University and was part of the team that won the student talent competition, with The Hartford as our corporate sponsor. Fast forward to the present, I’m happy to attend this conference for the first time since joining Hartford, with 80+ of my Hartford colleagues in attendance. These NAAIA conferences are always an experience that I can never forget. Everything from the sneaker ball reception, informative sessions, volunteering, and amazing people made this one of the best ones yet!! I’m very happy to be part of NAAIA and thankful that The Hartford sponsored me to attend! It was an honor and pleasure to attend the 2024 NAAIA Conference. The sessions and plenary’s were educational and informative. This week I met so many positive and supportive people who poured into me nothing but good things. NAAIA - National African American Insurance Association you did that. Everything was amazing. Day 2 of the NAAIA - National African American Insurance Association conference was full of celebration and growth! After the morning workout the sessions broke out ! We heard from our DFW members and Board Members Krista Scott Shelia Terry and celebrated Sherita Hardy our past president and now National board member as the Moderator of a prestigious panel. NAAIA Dallas Fort Worth Chapter was represented across multiple panels sharing leadership strategies, and the importance of Self Care! The keynote speaker Denise Hamilton gave such inspiration about the work continuing even if conditions change!
