The National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) was organized to create a network among minorities who are employed by insurance-related organizations or self-employed in the insurance industry. Pooling this wealth of talent contributes to the growth of the association and its members through sharing of professional experience, knowledge, and information.
NAAIA will attempt, on a continuous basis, to promote professionalism in a manner that will lead to industry recognition and future career opportunities. NAAIA shall coordinate the national efforts of the African-American insurance organizations and professionals.
NAAIA founded its Greater Hartford Chapter in January 2017, with a mission of creating a network of insurance professionals within the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area to foster career and business opportunities. As a trade association, the Chapter’s membership includes executives, agents, brokers, attorneys, underwriters, and other professionals in insurance-related fields who either work or live in Connecticut. Today, our focus is on promoting the insurance industry through a variety of educational, civic, and social activities that support career advancement and business development within the communities comprising the geographical area we serve.
