We are so thankful to be a part of this wonderful project to help bring these vital services to communities in need. Throughout the design process, getting to know the people of Belpre and the surrounding counties in Ohio and West Virginia has been an incredibly rewarding experience. We look forward to sharing more as this project progresses! https://lnkd.in/gSK8hMVW Memorial Health System - Ohio MODLOGIQ, Inc. MIND

Our team had an incredible time at the 2024 Healthcare Design Conference + Expo! NAC's Tim Rank, along with our partners at MODLOGIQ, Inc. and MIND, led a session discussing lessons learned from Memorial Health System - Ohio's Athens Medical Campus, the nation's first permanent hospital fully constructed using off-site modular technology. Thank you to HDC for the amazing opportunity and to all those in attendance!

When one of our interns reaches the end of their internship, we ask them to choose a Make It statement that resonates with their experience at NAC. Make It statements embody our values as a firm. Our recent Los Angeles architectural intern, Christian Becerra, embraced our value to Make It Meaningful, sharing that his time with NAC was invaluable, not only for the projects he worked on but for the people who shaped his experience. A key takeaway was his deepened passion for visual representation of his projects, inspired by the work of Handbuilt Studio, our graphics and environmental design studio. He shared, “I’ve always had an interest in the visual representation of my projects, and it was amazing to see the work of Handbuilt Studio. Their work encouraged me to further pursue this passion but also push boundaries of how we present our work!” His advice for future interns? Ask everyone in the office lots of questions! Christian is completing his education at Woodbury University and will graduate in 2025. We are excited to see what he accomplishes next! #internship #makeitmeaningful #NACinterns #architectureinternships Music by Grumpynora/Jamendo / Adobe Stock

There are over 900 Residential Facilities (RF Class 2 and 3) that provide supportive living for thousands of people with mental illness in Ohio. These facilities play a vital role in the mental, behavioral and substance abuse continuum of care. NAMI OHIO, through the support of the Ohio Department of Development Housing Trust Fund and Ohio Adult Care Facilities Association, is working to strengthen the future of these facilities through the 2024 Supportive Housing Institute for development of Class 2 facilities. Our NAC Team; Jill Brengman Woods, Brooke Michl-Smith, AIA, LEED AP, EDAC, Hunter M., Hamid Estejab, EDAC, Andrew von Lohr; is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Raven Oglesby in participating in a recent session to present on important development topics for these facilities including trauma informed design, NAC's experience in designing a Class 1 residential facility, and what teams should expect when working with a design team. We ended the session with a charette, collaborating with development teams to help advance their ideas which ranged from new housing units to repurposing vacated apartments. Thank you to all the teams that participated and so actively engaged with sharing ideas. This program will no doubt have an impact on the future of residential treatment in our community!

What is the difference between off-site construction and other modular construction, and how can they benefit healthcare facilities? We recently partnered with MODLOGIQ to design Memorial Health System's Athens Medical Campus in Athens, Ohio, a 100,000 square foot healthcare facility. Designed using modular off-site construction, the entire building was fabricated and assembled in a factory away from the project site. This process saved twelve months on construction and enabled the facility to open earlier than traditional on-site construction.
